The “tea party” movement began quite by chance on Thursday, February 19, when CNBC reporter Rick Santelli spoke from the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade. Talking about public wrath over the waste of the so-called “stimulus” money, he called for a “Chicago Tea Party” and the trading floor erupted in cheers (see video). Within days, cities around the country were holding impromptu tea parties.
We’re going to join the tea party movement here in Buffalo/Western New York. This will be our official website. Email us for information and to offer suggestions.
